Negotiate and document international mergers and acquisitions, and commercial agreements. Develop and implement strategies for managing lawsuits (disputes in court). This includes coordinating case assessments, preparing arguments, and overseeing matters throughout the litigation lifecycle. Manage outside law firms and service providers to ensure quality, cost-efficient representation. This includes reviewing budgets, monitoring work product, and serving as the primary internal point of contact. Assist with U.S. government inquiries and investigations, such as those involving the Department of Justice (DOJ) or Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Subpoena and Document Response – Oversee the collection, review, and production of documents in response to legal demands (known as “subpoenas”), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with legal requirements. Provide support in managing disputes that involve multiple jurisdictions, including coordination with international counsel and understanding differences in local legal systems. Counsel senior executives and business partners on transactions, potential risks, dispute resolution strategies, and regulatory obligations, ensuring legal considerations are built into business decisions. Expand technical legal expertise by engaging in new subject areas, including intellectual property disputes, bankruptcy proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and other complex matters. Must appear in office 4 days per week; WFH permissible 1 day per week. Domestic and International Travel may be required up to 10%.

Juris Doctor (JD) degree or foreign degree equivalent in Law / Legal Studies, or related field and four (4) years of experience in the related role or job offered.
Experience and/or education must include:
Negotiating and drafting international merger and acquisition agreements, joint ventures, and commercial contracts;
Managing litigation strategy and lifecycle, including supervising outside counsel, overseeing discovery, and preparing legal arguments;
Overseeing investigations and government inquiries, including DOJ and SEC matters, with responsibility for subpoena response and document production;
Providing cross-border legal guidance, coordinating with international counsel, and navigating multi-jurisdictional disputes;
Developing dispute resolution strategies, including mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations;
Managing external legal budgets and vendors, ensuring cost-efficient, high-quality representation;
Counseling senior executives on legal risks, regulatory obligations, and litigation exposure to inform business decision-making;
Applying project management techniques to prioritize workload and coordinate multiple high-stakes legal matters simultaneously;
Expanding technical legal expertise into emerging practice areas such as intellectual property disputes, bankruptcy proceedings, and compliance reviews; and
License by State Bar Required in one of the following states: NY, DC or CA.
