You’ve said in the past that the ends don’t justify the means. How does that apply to building a company?
We're going to spend a decade, two decades, three decades working together, likely more than eight hours a day. We should spend that time well with each other. When I look back, I want to be able to say that many of the people that worked with me were promoted. Some are now vice presidents. Some are CEOs. I'm sure we are going to get these medications to the finish line, some of them at least. But to me, the journey, the personal developments, the relationships matter as much as the ends.
